Do any of these experiences FEEL familiar?

I'm feeling stressed and overwhelmed.

I'm navigating a difficult relationship.

I'm struggling at work.

I keep reacting in ways I later regret.

I feel like I'm repeating the same patterns.

I'm stuck and don't know what to do.

I'm finding it hard to cope with change.

I don't feel like myself anymore.

What do all of these situations have in common?

  • DISCOMFORT.

How you respond changes everything

I bypass discomfort using old default patterns.

I react automatically to discomfort using familiar protective patterns. Over time these responses narrow my choices, compound instability, and make change more difficult.

I learn to support myself through discomfort

I understand what my FEELINGS are communicating and support myself to stay connected to them.  This keeps me open to learning, strengthens my capacity to adapt, and expands my choices

What do protective responses look like?

Let's meet your FafFFs

FafFFs are the things we learn to do when discomfort felt overwhelming and there wasn't enough internal or external support.

FafFFs help us feel safer in the
moment, but often make the
situation worse.

FafFF = Fast and familiar forms of falsesafe.

Do you recognise any of these?

e.g. Fib, fixate, fester,
fret, faux, fry, fix, faux,
freak out, flat,
fade, fight, frame, fob

What starts as a protective response becomes a

default somatic communication pattern.

There is a FeelingConnected way

Finding your way back to yourself

You don’t have to do this alone. Reaching out for support can give you the space, perspective and encouragement to understand what’s happening, work through what feels difficult, and discover different ways forward.

Somatic literacy is a gift that lasts a lifetime that impacts every future life choice and relationship.
